    Harvest Food Bank Appeal 2022

As part of Harvest Festival at George Carey, which we celebrated just before half term, we would like to support our local food banks in Barking by donating as many items as we can.
We are asking pupils to donate an item, more if they can, to support the most needy particularly as we move into the colder months. We appreciate that times are tough and you may not be able to help but if you can that is great.

The items the food banks are in need of are:
    shampoo
    body wash
    deodorant
    sanitary products
    toothpaste
    baby milk
    nappies
tinned food like tuna, fruit, soups, custard
dried food like couscous, noodles, rice
jars of cooking sauces like curry, pasta bake
    cereals
biscuits and treat foods like crisps or snack bars
    tea, coffee, sugar
    long life milk

Please take send your child in with donations to their class, where their teacher will add to their Harvest displays.

Should you need support from a food bank please take a look at the link.

    Thank you all so much.

  • Run Pudsey 2022

    Tue 08 Nov 2022

    Hello all,

On Friday 18th November we will be celebrating Children In Need/pudsey day.
To help with fundraising this year we have signed up to Run Pudsey.

Children can choose to sign up and participate in a form of physical activity (cycling, jogging, running, skipping etc) inside or outside of school.
The aim is for children to set themselves a target and achieve it all through fundraising by Friday 18th November.

All children who participate will receive a certificate of achievement. And those who raise over £10 will receive a medal straight from Pudsey !

If you would like to sign up, please visit the link below:
    https://www.runpudsey.co.uk/school/george-carey-church-of-england-primary-school

    Your code is: 47DA

Remember fundraising page closes on the 18th! Share your page with your family and friends so that you can get as many donations !

Finally, don’t forget to come to school in your Pudsey wear on the 18th! ( with the exception of year 3 and 4)

    Happy fundraising !

    Miss Robb
