Harvest
Tue 13 Oct 2026Dear Parents and Carers,
As we celebrate the harvest season, we are delighted to announce that our school will be celebrating Harvest Day on Friday 23rd October.
Throughout the day, children will take part in a variety of fun and engaging harvest-themed activities across the school. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about the importance of harvest, appreciate the food we have and understand the value of kindness, generosity and supporting others in our community.
To help us celebrate, we would be very grateful for any food donations that families are able to contribute. Children can bring in donations from this week up until Friday 23rd October. All donations collected will be given to Barking Foodbank, helping to support individuals and families in our local community who may be experiencing difficulties. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference.
To add a little excitement, we will also be holding a friendly class competition! The class that collects the most food donations will receive a special in-school prize, such as a non-uniform day. We hope this will encourage the children to work together, show kindness and understand the importance of helping others.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and generosity. Your contributions will help us make a positive difference in our local community, and we look forward to celebrating Harvest Day together as a school.
