Dear Parents and Carers,

With the hot weather forecast to continue over the coming days, we would like to remind families to ensure that children come to school prepared for the warmer temperatures.

Please ensure that your child:

• Brings a clearly named water bottle to school every day. We will encourage children to drink water regularly throughout the day and bottles can be refilled as needed.
• Wears suitable clothing for the weather. Summer uniform should be worn where applicable.
• Has a sun hat or cap to wear during outdoor activities.

• Arrives at school with sun cream already applied. Children should not bring sun cream into school.

We will be taking sensible precautions throughout the day, including encouraging regular hydration, making use of shaded areas where possible, and adapting outdoor activities if necessary.
