Dear Parents and Carers,

 

We are inviting you to attend a phonics workshop on Thursday 12^th October 2023.

 

The aim of this workshop is for parents and carers to understand how phonics is taught at George Carey and what they can do to support their child on their reading journey.

 

The workshop will begin at 9.15am. It will finish at approximately 10am. You will be given a presentation on phonics and early reading, then there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

 

If you would like to attend the workshop, please complete the slip below and return by Friday 6^th October.

 

We will post the slideshow on the school website for those who are unable to attend.

 

Please note there will be two workshops taking place on the day – Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2) will be in the gym. EYFS (Reception) will be in the Hall.
