Memory Box is a Year 1 history project designed to teach children about changes over time, family, and community. Through exploring their own memories and those of others, children will develop a deeper understanding of how people, places, and objects change, in particular toys. This project nurtures children’s knowledge and appreciation of local history, while helping them value special memories, customs, traditions, and the experience of growing up. Engaging and reflective, Memory Box encourages young learners to connect the past with the present and celebrate the stories that make each family and community unique.
